Joseph Coleman Legacy Scholarship Update

The Triangle Society remains committed to honoring the legacy of Joseph Coleman Jr by recognizing Cass Technical High School seniors who exemplify academic achievement, leadership, character, and service to their school and community.

Since the scholarship was established, we have been proud to support deserving students through this meaningful initiative.

Scholarship History

• 2024: The inaugural Joseph Coleman Jr Legacy Scholarship awarded two $450 scholarships to one graduating female senior and one graduating male senior.

• 2025: Thanks to the continued generosity of our supporters, the scholarship increased to $750 for each recipient. We were especially honored to have Joseph Coleman's children serve on the scholarship selection committee, helping choose the recipients and continuing their father's legacy of investing in future generations.

• 2026: Although the scholarship application period was widely promoted, we unfortunately did not receive any eligible applications this year. Rather than awarding the scholarship without qualified applicants, The Triangle Society made the decision to carry the scholarship funds forward.

Looking Ahead to 2027

The funds designated for the 2026 scholarship will be rolled over and combined with the 2027 scholarship fund, allowing us to offer an even larger scholarship opportunity to deserving Cass Technical High School seniors next year.

Over the coming months, The Triangle Society will work closely with Cass Tech administrators, counselors, alumni, and community partners to increase awareness of the scholarship and encourage eligible seniors to apply. We are also partnering with alumni volunteers to help promote the scholarship throughout the school year so that every qualified student has the opportunity to participate.

We believe Joseph Coleman's legacy deserves to continue inspiring future generations, and we are excited to make the 2027 scholarship program our strongest yet.
